It’s taking shape
The dots will always connect down the line
I was at Ibukun Awosika’s Life Series event, and she asked a few questions that might seem ordinary on the surface, but when you really dig deep, you’ll realise they can catapult you into a new phase and cause a quantum shift in your life.
Before I continue, here are the questions:
Where are you right now?
Who do you think you are?
Where do you think you are going?
How do you picture your life at age 70?
What’s standing between where you are and where you should be?
What’s your strategy for achieving your goals?
Like I said, they might look ordinary, but the aim isn’t to answer them right off the bat. These are the kinds of questions you sit with—again and again—because each time, your answers evolve.
And as the year draws to an end, these questions feel even more relevant. Maybe you’re auditing what this year looked like and shaping what you want the next one to be.
Anyway, here’s a quick update on what I’ve been up to.
WHAT I’M DOING
1. Medium vs LinkedIn Article Experiment
Remember the experiment I mentioned in my last newsletter? Well, it’s taking shape, and the insights have been solid so far.
Here are a few highlights:
Multiple articles are now ranking on Google’s first page and appearing in AI Overviews.
One of my pieces got traffic from Perplexity AI (cheers to a new search era!).
I landed a new SEO client—someone who saw my results and reached out for collaboration.
It’s one of the reasons I’m such a big advocate of building in public. Magical things happen when you talk about your work.
The experiment has been amazing so far, and I can’t wait to complete it and write a full case study on my findings.
2. Best Man Duties
It still surprises me how life evolves. One of my friends asked me to be his best man, and even though I’m married, it still felt surreal. Maybe I’m still adjusting to this “adulting” phase.
Anyway, the wedding went smoothly. Before the big day, I kept asking myself, “What exactly does a best man do?”
Eventually, I concluded it’s simple: make the groom’s life easier.
They’ve got enough going on already, so take as much off their plate as possible.
And that’s exactly what I did.
WHAT I READ / WATCHED
1. How to Build a Better Personal Brand Than 99% of People
That’s all.
Yes, really.
I locked in on work in October, so I didn’t get to read as much as I’d like. And it doesn’t look like that’s changing anytime soon 😔
Anyway, see you later this month.
P.S. I should have sent this last week. I didn’t realise it was already the last Saturday of the month.
